Line Technician (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Based in Mt. Crawford, Virginia, United States. The role requires flexibility to work various hours and shifts, including overtime when required.

Salary: $32.98 per hour

What you will do

• Set up, operate, monitor, change over, clean, and inspect production-line equipment while completing product quality checks.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions, make minor adjustments and repairs, and partner with maintenance on diagnostics, rebuilds, and non-routine repairs.
• Complete preventive maintenance, lubrication activities, equipment inspections, and accurate production and maintenance records.
• Implement Integrated Work Systems activities and contribute to safety, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, maintenance standards, and One Point Lessons.
• Support production priorities, coach employees, and communicate equipment issues and operational needs to leadership and other departments.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Ability to learn all job functions and complete required training and certifications.
• Basic PC skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read written instructions, maintain accurate records, make decisions, prioritize, and multitask.
• Ability to work various shifts and overtime when required.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, and lift or move up to 60 pounds in a manufacturing environment.
