Systems Engineer 4 (MBSE)

Location: Hybrid or onsite in Austin, Texas, or Huntsville, Alabama, United States. U.S. citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance are mandatory.

What you will do

• Design and develop integrated avionics and communications systems for new defense programs.
• Apply systems engineering concepts, MBSE methodologies, and expert technical judgment to complex design and development challenges.
• Conduct advanced analysis, research, simulation, validation, and resolution of highly complex technical issues.
• Develop system test plans, procedures, detailed test cases, and test-bed architectures in line with industry standards.
• Simulate end-user operations, execute test procedures, and document results in lifecycle management tools such as Digital.ai Agility or JIRA.
• Guide planning, architecture, design, development, integration, testing, and release quality across project teams while mentoring junior systems engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an engineering-related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools and methodologies.
• Experience with simulation tools and techniques for system design, analysis, and validation.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Secret U.S. Government security clearance are required.
• Ability to work in a hybrid or onsite role in Austin or Huntsville.

Nice to have

• Experience with Army Command and Control systems such as IBCS, FAAD, or THAAD.
• 3+ years of experience with tactical data links, including Link 16, DoD radio communications systems, or IP network design and maintenance.
• Safe Engineering experience and knowledge of the full product lifecycle.
• CompTIA certifications or Systems Engineering Professional Certification, such as INCOSE ASEP.
