Applied Scientist (Computer Vision)

Salary: $142,800–$193,200 annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Apply state-of-the-art natural language processing and computer vision research to video-centric digital media.
• Lead the research direction for a team of applied scientists.
• Create forward-looking research roadmaps and communicate them to senior leadership.
• Develop content-understanding and enrichment solutions supporting relevant language options, accessibility, and title information.
• Hire, mentor, and develop applied scientists while growing the team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building models for business applications.
• PhD, or a master's degree with 4+ years of experience in computer science, computer engineering, machine learning, or a related field.
• Experience programming in Java, C++, Python, or a related language.
• Experience developing and implementing deep learning algorithms, particularly computer vision algorithms.
• Must be based in Seattle, Washington, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unix or Linux.
• Professional software development experience.
• Publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
