Configuration Management Leader (Aerospace)

Location: Loveland, Ohio, United States; onsite at the Loveland facility. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance are required.

hirify.global develops and manufactures jet propulsion systems for unmanned aerial defense using additive manufacturing, with production exclusively in the United States.

What you will do

• Lead the engineering configuration management function while personally executing critical hands-on activities.
• Define and improve processes for part numbering, revision control, product baselines, configuration status accounting, and structured product data.
• Chair the Configuration Control Board and manage changes from evaluation and approval through implementation, effectivity, documentation, and closure.
• Maintain traceability and configuration integrity across drawings, models, bills of material, specifications, work instructions, and technical records.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, operations, and program teams throughout product development and production.
• Lead root-cause, corrective-action, audit, and continuous-improvement initiatives related to configuration and product data.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another technical discipline.
• At least five years of experience in engineering configuration management and at least two years of Configuration Control Board leadership experience.
• Experience directly leading employees, assigning work, managing performance, coaching, and developing technical capability.
• Experience establishing and improving configuration management processes for NPI and production environments, including processes aligned with military specifications.
• Experience managing complex engineering changes from initial evaluation through implementation and closure.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.

Nice to have

• Ten years of experience supporting aviation gas turbine products or systems.
• Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Experience with turbomachinery components, engine products, or model-based systems engineering.
