Senior Process Safety Consultant (RBI Engineer)

Location: Onsite in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; travel for client meetings, workshops, and site visits is required.

What you will do

• Lead and execute Risk-Based Inspection studies in accordance with API 580 and API 581.
• Perform API 581 Fully Quantitative RBI Assessments for static equipment.
• Assess damage mechanisms, corrosion data, inspection history, operating conditions, and process information.
• Develop risk rankings, inspection strategies, inspection plans, and optimized inspection intervals.
• Collect and validate field data through site visits and equipment inspections.
• Facilitate RBI workshops and client discussions, prepare technical deliverables, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in asset integrity, inspection engineering, or RBI consultancy within the oil and gas, refinery, petrochemical, or energy sectors.
• Proven experience conducting API 580 and API 581 RBI studies, including API 581 Fully Quantitative Assessment.
• Strong knowledge of API 571 damage mechanisms, pressure equipment inspection, corrosion assessment, and integrity management.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings, workshops, and site visits.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with API 510, API 570, API 653, ASME, and relevant industry codes.
• Experience with PCMS, Capstone, Visions, Meridium, or equivalent RBI software.
• API 580, API 510, API 570, API 653, or NACE/AMPP certifications.
