What you will do

  • Apply aerodynamic analysis to aircraft, missile, unmanned-vehicle, and major component design.
  • Perform CFD analysis and manage geometry, meshing, post-processing, scripting, and workflow automation.
  • Develop aerodynamic designs, databases, structured datasets, and reduced-order or empirical models.
  • Define, support, and interpret wind-tunnel tests while evaluating mesh sensitivity, convergence, turbulence models, and numerical uncertainty.
  • Correlate analytical, CFD, wind-tunnel, and flight-test data to support design decisions.
  • Lead aerodynamic work packages and support multidisciplinary design trades and aerospace lifecycle reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, physics, computational engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 10 or more years of relevant aerospace or comparable applied-fluid-dynamics experience.
  • Experience with subsonic, transonic, supersonic, or hypersonic aerodynamics, including lift, drag, stability, control, interference, trim, and configuration development.
  • Experience with aerodynamic design of airfoils, wings, bodies, control surfaces, high-lift systems, inlets, nacelles, or complete aircraft.
  • Experience preparing analysis reports, aerodynamic-data reports, test plans, test reports, and substantiation evidence.
  • Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree or PhD in aerodynamics, fluid mechanics, CFD, aircraft design, experimental aerodynamics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CAD and geometry-management processes.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, C/C++, optimization frameworks, and engineering workflow automation.
