What you will do

• Produce, assemble, troubleshoot, and modify test fixtures for elevator components, assemblies, and systems.
• Install, remove, service, repair, and modify elevator subsystems, components, mockups, and hoistway structures.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, brakes, machine shop equipment, and other hand and power tools.
• Perform welding, prototype component assembly, laboratory maintenance, and shipping and receiving duties.
• Lead technicians, train newer employees, and collaborate with engineers on test plans and equipment development.
• Create and implement SOPs and safety protocols while completing special projects with limited supervision.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of equivalent work experience, including 2–4 years of elevator experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical education or equivalent additional experience is preferred.
• OSHA 10 and welding certification.
• Working knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts, test equipment, and computer-assisted engineering tools.
• Ability to operate shop tools, follow technical requirements and SOPs, troubleshoot systems, and communicate effectively.
• Forklift and scissor lift certification is preferred.
