Organisational Effectiveness Senior Manager (Organisation Design/Operating Models): Shaping how a major financial organisation operates through organisation design, operating model transformation and strategic ways of working with an accent on organisational health, workforce insight and sustainable performance. Focus on leading large-scale transformation programmes, designing target operating models, and influencing Executive Directors and senior leaders through evidence-based recommendations.

Location: Hybrid role based at an office site in Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds or London, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time in the office.

Salary: £85,493–£100,580 per year

What you will do

• Partner with Executive Directors, HR Directors and senior business leaders to define organisational effectiveness priorities.
• Identify high-impact opportunities that improve business outcomes, organisational health and sustainable performance.
• Design and implement future-fit operating models, organisation structures and ways of working.
• Lead large-scale organisation design and operating model transformation programmes end to end.
• Coordinate matrix teams of functional specialists and business representatives to deliver target-state designs.
• Build organisational effectiveness capability by coaching People Partners, OE managers and business leaders.

Requirements

• Typically 8+ years of experience leading large-scale organisational design and operating model transformation programmes in complex organisations.
• Deep expertise in operating model design, organisation design and organisational effectiveness methodologies.
• Strong data analysis and modelling skills, including workforce data analysis and presentation using Excel, Power BI or similar tools.
• Ability to influence Executive-level stakeholders and provide constructive challenge in a matrix environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and the ability to align organisation design decisions with business strategy and performance outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience applying organisational health frameworks and efficiency metrics.
• Background in management consulting or enterprise-wide transformation environments.
• Experience coaching or developing organisational effectiveness capability in others.
