Organisational Effectiveness Manager

TL;DR

Organisational Effectiveness Manager (Organisation Design/Operating Models): Designing and delivering organisation-wide interventions that improve organisational health, productivity, and business performance with an accent on organisation design, operating models, and data-led diagnosis. Focus on solving complex organisational challenges, shaping governance and decision-making, and coaching senior leaders and People teams through transformation.

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days per week or 40% of working time at an office in Bristol, Edinburgh, Halifax, Leeds, or London, United Kingdom.

Salary: £61,344–£68,160 per year, plus an annual performance-related bonus.

What you will do

• Lead high-impact organisational effectiveness interventions aligned with business priorities.
• Partner with programme leaders, People Directors, HR leaders, and senior stakeholders to address complex organisational challenges.
• Diagnose root causes using data, insight, and organisational effectiveness methodologies.
• Design organisation structures and operating models aligned with strategy, capability, governance, and ways of working.
• Measure improvements in productivity, organisational health, and business performance.
• Coach leaders and People teams on organisational effectiveness tools, frameworks, and approaches.

Requirements

• Typically 5+ years of experience leading or significantly contributing to organisation design and operating model initiatives in complex organisations.
• Strong knowledge of organisation design, operating model frameworks, and organisational effectiveness methodologies.
• Experience using data and analytics tools such as Excel or Power BI to diagnose issues and support design decisions.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect organisational interventions with business performance outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience applying organisational health or efficiency metrics in transformation programmes.
• Background in consulting, transformation, or enterprise change environments.
• Experience coaching leaders or People teams on organisational effectiveness approaches.
