What you will do

• Lead the development and implementation of the BT Networks cyber security strategy, roadmap, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Define and govern Cyber Critical Metrics, policies, compliance validation, control maturity, and executive-level risk reporting.
• Lead threat modelling, security assessments, risk assessments, and the development of security requirements and solutions.
• Provide cyber security advice to senior stakeholders and ensure products comply with applicable standards, policies, and industry practices.
• Act as a cyber security subject matter expert for business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
• Mentor experienced professionals and help build current and future team capabilities.

Requirements

• Professional cyber security certification such as CISSP, CISM, or an equivalent recognised qualification.
• Knowledge of NCSC CAF, NIST CSF, ISO 27001, the Cyber Assessment Framework, and the Telecoms Security Act.
• Experience defining, implementing, and governing cyber security metrics, risk appetites, control maturity frameworks, and executive reporting.
• Experience advising senior stakeholders across complex network and technology environments.
• Ability to work in the United Kingdom, with locations listed in Birmingham, London, Bristol, Manchester, and Belfast.

Nice to have

• Experience delivering large-scale cyber transformation, security uplift, or continuous improvement programmes across complex network estates.
• Familiarity with cloud security, AI-enabled cyber threats, security automation, and post-quantum cryptography.
