What you will do

• Partner with Security, IT, and engineering teams to improve the security posture across multiple cybersecurity domains.
• Evaluate risk and implement scalable security solutions, policies, procedures, and controls.
• Design and assess secure infrastructure, architectures, configurations, and applications across on-premises, hybrid, laboratory, and cloud-connected environments.
• Lead or contribute to detection, incident response, investigations, containment, remediation, and threat-driven security initiatives.
• Evaluate, engineer, and administer enterprise security tools, including endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and logging or SIEM platforms.
• Prepare actionable reports on findings, risks, mitigations, and overall security posture for stakeholders and senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Senior individual-contributor experience in a complex enterprise environment, balancing risk, business priorities, and practical implementation.
• Experience with vulnerability management, incident response, identity and access management, network security, risk analysis, security operations, and security engineering.
• Hands-on experience designing secure solutions and working with infrastructure and engineering teams to implement them.
• Experience with AI security and governance, including policy, risk, monitoring, detection, and response enablement.
• Must be able to work from the Edinburgh office, UK, or relocate there before starting; export-license sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• CISSP, SSCP, GCIA, or another relevant industry certification.
• Experience in a high-tech, engineering, or semiconductor environment.
• Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
