What you will do

• Lead employees during assigned shifts and supervise operations across production machines.
• Coordinate schedules, assign responsibilities, and maintain a visible presence on the mill floor.
• Monitor production schedules, product specifications, customer requirements, quality standards, and process compliance.
• Track productivity, utilization, interruptions, rejections, energy consumption, and other operational indicators.
• Implement process improvements, corrective and preventive actions, inspections, and basic preventive maintenance activities.
• Coach, motivate, evaluate, and develop direct reports while managing HR activities and protecting plant resources.

Requirements

• Relevant technical diploma or degree and 3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, or more than 10 years of manufacturing experience including leadership roles.
• Familiarity with manufacturing safety procedures in Canada is required.
• Ability to work onsite in a steel manufacturing mill on 12-hour rotating day and night shifts, with flexibility based on business needs.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental procedures, production controls, quality standards, and performance management.
• Capability to lead teams, coordinate operations, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.

Nice to have

• Experience in a steel mill or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with SAP.
• Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Excel and Word.
