TL;DR
Digital Twin and Systems Integration Engineer (Aerospace): Designing the DART digital twin interoperability architecture and supporting digital architecture frameworks for systems-of-systems readiness with an accent on MBSE, simulation, data integration, and cloud-native systems. Focus on coordinating architecture design, integrating heterogeneous models and data, and enabling traceable, secure interoperability across complex aerospace and defence programmes.
Location: Hybrid role based in Gilching, Bavaria, Germany; up to 8 weeks per year of teleworking outside the usual geographical area.

What you will do
- Design digital architecture frameworks supporting systems-of-systems readiness and digital twin integration.
- Develop the DART digital twin interoperability architecture.
- Coordinate and iterate architecture designs across the department.
- Integrate system models, simulation environments, and heterogeneous data sources.
- Support requirements engineering, traceability, and cloud-native container-based solutions.
Requirements
- Experience with systems engineering and systems-of-systems engineering.
- Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering and architectural frameworks such as SysML, UAF, NAF, or DoDAF.
- Software development experience with Python, Java, C++, or related technologies.
- Experience with simulation, modelling, data integration, and interoperability solutions.
- Knowledge of cloud-native and container-based architectures and requirements traceability.
- Strong English communication skills required.
Nice to have
- Digital twin technologies and aerospace or defence programme experience.
- HLA, DIS, FMI/Modelica, or other simulation interoperability standards.
- AI/ML for optimisation and decision support, data engineering, or streaming platforms.
- Kubernetes, DevOps/GitOps, cybersecurity, Zero Trust Architecture, or secure data-sharing frameworks.
- Dassault Systèmes solutions or EU Defence Fund and multinational R&D project experience.
