Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and Digital Modeling Engineer (Secret Clearance) (Space Systems/MBSE): Creating and integrating interdisciplinary digital models for resilient missile warning, tactical intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, and environmental monitoring capabilities with an accent on systems architecture, requirements engineering, and digital engineering tools. Focus on developing technical specifications and interface control documents, verifying requirements, solving complex systems engineering problems, and supporting design reviews for U.S. Space Force missions.

Location: Customer site in Colorado Springs, Colorado; on site at least 2–3 days per week, with additional days potentially required. U.S. citizenship and authorization to work in the United States are required.

Salary: $95,000–$201,000 annually

What you will do

• Create, integrate, and apply interdisciplinary digital models across the product lifecycle.
• Develop system architectures, technical specifications, and interface control documents using digital engineering tools.
• Perform systems engineering analysis, requirements verification, and support design reviews.
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems and resolve technical risks and issues.
• Collaborate with government clients, FFRDCs, and contractor teams to achieve program goals.
• Mentor and potentially supervise team members while working independently.

Requirements

• Active Secret clearance required; applicants without the required clearance are not eligible.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• At least 5 years of experience with large-scale missions, systems engineering, and integration.
• At least 3 years of experience performing systems engineering analysis and developing engineering products for DoD or government systems.
• At least 3 years of practical MBSE experience with tools such as Cameo or MagicDraw, Sparx EA, DOORS, or IBM Rhapsody.

Nice to have

• TS/SCI clearance and a master’s degree in engineering.
• Experience with model-based verification and validation, MATLAB, STK, ModelCenter, or TeamCenter.
• Knowledge of SysML and the DoD Architecture Framework.
• OCSMP or INCOSE Systems Engineering certification.
