What you will do

• Refine software architecture and lead implementation of flight dynamics for a cutting-edge satellite management system.
• Guide the development of mission operation software and ground system infrastructure within the AWS Cloud.
• Lead build automation, continuous integration, configuration management, and deployment for the Flight Dynamics System.
• Develop operations products and documentation supporting Command & Control and Ground Station Antenna System interfaces.
• Integrate software components and perform unit-level and system-level verification and validation.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and training teams to plan simulations and mission control operations.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
• Expertise in flight dynamics systems, specifically maneuver design, conjunction response, and orbit maintenance.
• Proven experience developing and fielding production flight dynamics software.
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: Java, Python, JavaScript, C, or C++.
• Knowledge of software-defined networking (VPC, Subnets, VPNs), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• U.S. person status (Citizen, National, Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee) is required due to Export Control Regulations.

Nice to have

• M.S. in a related technical field.
• Experience with flight dynamics tools such as MONTE, GMAT, or STK.
• Former experience as a flight dynamics operator for complex systems.
• Knowledge of Electric Propulsion and statistical orbit determination processes.
• Experience with DOORS Next Generation, Confluence, JIRA, and Windchill.
