Salary: $230,773 – $323,081

What you will do

• Architect, design, and deploy safety-critical mission operations software for the TeraWave constellation.
• Guide technology selection and ground system infrastructure implementation.
• Conduct trade studies to determine whether to build, adapt, or purchase software tools.
• Collaborate with spacecraft and infrastructure engineers to define software requirements and designs.
• Lead system verification and qualification planning in coordination with mission system engineers.
• Develop software components and comprehensive unit and system-level tests.

Requirements

• B.S. or higher in Computer Engineering, CS, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of production software development experience.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience with DoDAF, UML, C4 Model, and Software Design Patterns.
• Expertise in real-time flight operations, telemetry, or mission planning.
• Must be a U.S. person (citizen, national, green card holder, refugee, or asylee).

Nice to have

• Experience with space flight operations software.
• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Familiarity with space communication protocols (e.g., CCSDS, DDS).
• Experience with DOORS Next Generation (DNG) for requirements management.
• Knowledge of system safety analysis techniques like FHA, FMECA, and FTA.
