Commercial Counsel (Video Games)

Salary: $147,000–$202,000 per year

What you will do

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on publishing, platform, services, development, licensing, merchandising, technology, software, and data privacy agreements.
• Develop and maintain contract templates, playbooks, and internal legal resources.
• Draft, review, and negotiate employment-related agreements and templates.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders across business and operational functions.
• Work with the IP team to identify, register, protect, and enforce copyrights, trademarks, and domain names.

Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
• At least 3 years of hands-on commercial transactions experience.
• Ability to independently manage commercial matters with minimal supervision.
• Law degree and license to practice law in the United States or a common law jurisdiction.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work across time zones, cultures, and languages, including through translators.
• Professional, proactive, autonomous, and collaborative working style.

Nice to have

• Korean language proficiency.
• Experience with legal technology tools or platforms.
• Background in video games, entertainment, or software technology.
