What you will do

• Lead the Investigations engineering team and shape the technical direction of investigation products.
• Write and review code, pair with engineers, and resolve complex technical issues across backend, frontend, and data systems.
• Guide architectural decisions for scalable APIs, UI applications, network graphs, and transaction-flow visualizations.
• Partner with Product and cross-functional stakeholders to prioritize meaningful missions and deliver measurable user value.
• Coach engineers, support onboarding, and build a self-sufficient, resilient team.
• Set standards for responsible use, evaluation, and ownership of AI-assisted code.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience leading and mentoring a team of 3–5 software engineers.
• Strong TypeScript experience across backend development with Node.js and NestJS and frontend development with React and Redux.
• Experience architecting scalable UI applications and APIs and making informed technology and architectural decisions.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, driving delivery, and maintaining high engineering standards.
• Understanding of data visualization, complex network graphs, transaction flows, databases, and SQL.
• Clear communication, coaching ability, and experience balancing technical quality with business needs.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS Serverless, API Gateway, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Experience with Datadog and observability practices.
• Interest or experience in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
