Staff Software Engineer (Fullstack, TypeScript, React, Node.js, AI)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Set technical direction and raise engineering standards across the Financial Services team.
• Work across the full stack, including infrastructure, databases, pipelines, and responsive React components.
• Turn commercial and customer problems into high-quality, maintainable software.
• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and designers to ship impactful features.
• Implement and scale AI-driven solutions within live production workflows.
• Run code reviews and mentor engineers to improve team output and code quality.

Requirements

• Must be able to work from the London office 2 days per week.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and deep knowledge of the Node.js ecosystem.
• Solid experience with the React paradigm and modern frontend development.
• Proven ability to ship code using AI tooling and LLM agents.
• Familiarity with container-based cloud-native applications and AWS/Kubernetes patterns.
• Understanding of web security principles including SQL injection, XSS, and authentication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Knowledge of data pipelines (dbt, BigQuery) and infrastructure tools like Argo Workflows.
• Familiarity with Bun and advanced component library design.
