TL;DR
Business Continuity & Insurance Manager (BCDR and Group Insurance): Strengthening ASOS’ business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, third-party resilience and insurance frameworks with an accent on operational resilience, governance and stakeholder coordination. Focus on refreshing business impact assessments, managing insurance renewals and claims, coordinating testing and recovery planning, and identifying opportunities for AI, data analytics and automation.

Location: Hybrid work with at least three days a week in the office; hirify.global HQ in London, with a shuttlebus service available for the Leavesden office.

What you will do

  • Define and embed a refreshed Group framework for business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational recovery and critical third-party resilience.
  • Manage the BCDR framework cycle, including business impact assessments, plan reviews, lessons learned, remediation tracking, testing, training and exercises.
  • Coordinate recovery objectives, dependencies, runbooks, playbooks and testing with Technology, Supply Chain, Digital Product, Customer, Commercial, Finance, People, Communications, Security, Legal and Procurement teams.
  • Own the annual Group Insurance cycle, including renewals, claims, policy documentation, broker and insurer relationships, and stakeholder advice.
  • Improve insurance processes, establish an Insurance Champions network, and use claims, insurer recommendations and lessons learned to strengthen controls and resilience.
  • Line-manage and mentor a Senior Risk Analyst while supporting incident response, crisis management, assurance and risk-management activities.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, crisis management, operational resilience or a similar field.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience shaping, leading or managing a business continuity programme in a diverse commercial environment.
  • Strong awareness of risk and controls, analytical problem-solving skills, and experience with complex or less mature operating environments.
  • Strong negotiation, influencing, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to engage senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Ability to work proactively, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, changing business.

Nice to have

  • Experience managing insurance programmes, renewals, claims, broker and insurer engagement, evidence gathering and risk-improvement activities.
  • Professional qualification in risk, insurance, resilience, business continuity, disaster recovery, controls or governance.
