Strip Test Senior/Staff Engineer

What you will do

• Own, sustain, and optimize Cohu SH5300A lead-frame and FH1200 film-frame strip-handler platforms.
• Develop and improve preventive-maintenance schedules to maximize uptime, reliability, and equipment lifecycle.
• Perform rapid root-cause analysis of mechanical, electrical, servo, pneumatic, and motion-control failures.
• Maintain calibration compliance for strip handlers and testing instrumentation.
• Support equipment setup, qualification, customization, and production release.
• Collaborate with process and product engineering teams and equipment vendors to improve handling, throughput, yield, designs, and spare-part availability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, mechatronics, electrical, or electronics engineering from a recognized university.
• 5+ years of experience in testing, including experience with strip handlers or probers.
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and testing instrumentation.
• Programming experience with Python, C++, or LabVIEW.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, analyze statistical data, and conduct failure analysis.
• Commitment to PPE, lockout/tagout, electrical safety, and other workplace safety procedures.
