Mechanical Engineer Equipment & Packages (Anaerobic Digestion)

Location: Via Giovanni Battista Pirelli 35, Milan, Italy

Salary: €48,000 gross annually minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Review contracts with the Engineering Manager and translate requirements into technical documentation.
• Prepare and issue RFQ Technical Specification Documents and ensure RFQ and purchase-order milestones meet the project schedule.
• Lead technical negotiations, supplier kick-off meetings, and regular technical expediting meetings with Procurement and Quality Engineering.
• Monitor supplier engineering progress, resolve technical queries, and ensure timely completion of equipment and package deliverables.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, automation, construction, layout, piping, process, and commissioning information across disciplines.
• Share project experience and support the maintenance of equipment documentation templates and product knowledge.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer E&P or in a similar role involving wet anaerobic digestion plants.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Independent experience specifying and managing third-party-designed equipment and packages.
• Project execution experience with a strong problem-solving mindset and efficient working style.
• Fluent English and Italian.
