What you will do

• Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, and AI sectors.
• Develop and execute market entry strategies to establish the company as a trusted corporate knowledge partner.
• Drive revenue growth and manage P&L performance for established and new corporate product lines.
• Lead, inspire, and mentor the business development team in China to ensure high performance.
• Build and nurture strategic relationships with key industry players and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with wider Informa group organizations to maximize B2B synergies and market penetration.

Requirements

• Proven track record in business development and managing multi-million-pound revenue lines in vertical markets.
• Deep knowledge of the Chinese marketplace, including cultural, economic, and regulatory nuances.
• Experience leading high-performing teams within a global matrix organization.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive P&L performance.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential.
• Must be based in Shanghai and possess the right to work in China.
