What you will do

• Define and execute portfolio strategies to deliver sustainable growth and market leadership in the HSS sector.
• Own portfolio performance across submissions, publications, revenue, impact, and quality KPIs.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with Editors-in-Chief, societies, institutions, and research leaders in China.
• Lead, develop, and inspire a high-performing publishing team, focusing on talent coaching and succession planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to shape and execute the regional China growth strategy.
• Drive portfolio expansion through new journal launches, acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in journal publishing and scholarly communications.
• Deep expertise in both the Chinese and global research ecosystems.
• Strong strategic and commercial acumen with a track record of delivering growth via data-driven decision-making.
• Established network and credibility within the research community.
• Proven people leadership capability and experience developing high-performing teams.
• Must be based in or able to work from Shanghai or Beijing.
