Proposal Manager (Automation)

What you will do

• Lead the full proposal lifecycle from RFQ review through submission and customer follow-up.
• Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing to define automated fastening solutions.
• Perform cycle time calculations, line balancing, and select technical content such as nut runners and vision systems.
• Develop accurate cost estimates and analyze cost drivers to propose optimized solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals with schematics to clearly define scope and value propositions.
• Conduct technical reviews and presentations with customers to build technical credibility.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in automated assembly systems or industrial automation.
• Strong background in fastening technologies and torque-controlled tightening applications.
• Experience in automotive or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% to support sales activities.
• Must be based in or able to work from Auburn Hills, MI.
