What you will do

• Lead and grow the Offline Perception team, managing the performance and career growth of ML engineers.
• Own the roadmap for offline perception model development and evaluation from curation to delivery.
• Guide architecture decisions for auto-labeling integration and large-scale data pipeline design.
• Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders in perception, simulation, and systems.
• Drive process and quality improvements in the offline perception lifecycle and dataset specifications.
• Manage team staffing, balancing ML engineering and AI infrastructure needs.

Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 8+ years of software or ML engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineers.
• Hands-on experience with auto-labeling pipelines for self-driving development at scale.
• Proven track record delivering production-grade perception datasets (2D/3D OD, semantic segmentation, etc.).
• Proficiency with AI infrastructure and data platforms such as Databricks, Ray, Spark, and AWS.
• Must be based in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience leading ML teams in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Familiarity with VLMs, auto-labeling pipelines, or perception model evaluation.
• Experience managing other managers or multiple teams simultaneously.
• Knowledge of Pegasus layers scenario description standards.
