Technical Lead (Autonomous & Unmanned Systems): Leading the development of interfaces and architectures for managing fleets of autonomous systems with an accent on tactical-edge networking and distributed systems. Salary: $178,500 - $241,500 USD

What you will do

• Lead the technical staff and architectural baseline for the Autonomous and Unmanned Systems domain.
• Deliver interfaces for managing individual assets and large fleets of autonomous systems.
• Design data-rich UIs reflecting real-time state across edge, remote, and disconnected environments.
• Mentor software and DevSecOps engineers, fostering technical excellence and growth.
• Partner with product management to define technical roadmaps and evaluate new technologies.
• Implement unit, integration, and user acceptance testing strategies to ensure software resilience.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is strictly required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Proven experience leading technical teams in developing complex software systems.
• Hands-on expertise in at least two of: autonomous systems, tactical-edge networking, distributed systems, or container/supply chain tooling.
• Familiarity with ROS2/DDS, MAVLink, CoT/TAK, and interoperability standards (e.g., STANAG).
• Experience leading remote engineering teams in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Special Operations processes and technical challenges.
• Experience with edge AI hardware (NVIDIA Jetson, Intel NUC).
• Familiarity with TAK Server, CoT schemas, and ATAK plugin development.
• Experience supporting Authorization to Operate (ATO) systems within the DoD.
• Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
