Project Engineer

What you will do

• Manage construction projects through planning, permitting, administration, construction management, inspection, and performance tracking.
• Implement construction safety processes and manage project risks, changes, and change orders.
• Prepare estimates and support cash-flow forecasting for capital expenditure projects.
• Develop engineering plans, schedules, and estimates for track, yard, facility, bridge, tunnel, and culvert projects.
• Coordinate Signal, Track, Telecommunications, Structures, contractors, internal stakeholders, and public agencies.

Requirements

• Experience working with contractors on track, facilities, and new construction projects.
• Planning and engineering design capability, including knowledge of track, civil, and geotechnical engineering.
• Understanding of track maintenance, train operations, and engineering standards and policies.
• Strong communication, organization, teamwork, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Engineering or Construction Management degree highly desired.
