What you will do

• Design, develop, and test embedded software for body, thermal, lighting, and door functions of the vehicle.
• Create comprehensive software requirements, design documentation, and test plans.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with vehicle, controls, electrical, and validation engineers.
• Integrate supplier sub-systems into the core Zoox software stack.
• Contribute to all SDLC phases, including prototyping, requirements capture, implementation, and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience developing real-time embedded software for distributed electro-mechanical systems.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and C with a focus on object-oriented programming.
• Experience with embedded micro-controllers or microprocessors (ARM, PowerPC, or equivalent).
• Understanding of sensors, motors, and actuators.
• Hands-on experience with system debugging and hardware bring-up.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of control systems for electromechanical systems.
• Experience with CAN and LIN analysis and debugging tools (PCAN, CANalyzer, CANape, etc.).
