Lead DevOps Engineer (DevSecOps)

Location: Onsite 5 days per week at a secure facility in Sterling, Virginia. U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret with SCI or SCI eligibility clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain one, are required. Travel to customer sites for integration and testing may be required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, test, and maintain software functionality across the full software lifecycle.
• Support software integration testing and prepare products for formal validation.
• Debug existing software and system-level issues, identify defects, and implement fixes.
• Create automated tests for user interfaces and backend services.
• Collaborate with software, systems, test, subcontractor, and other engineering teams.
• Champion Agile practices and contribute to program and project milestones.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of related experience, including 2 years in an Agile environment, plus a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Understanding of software fundamentals, requirements derivation, testing, and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with software and system-level debugging, established code modification, and defect correction.
• Experience with automated testing tools for user interfaces and backend services.
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret with SCI or SCI eligibility clearance, or the ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. national security clearance, is required.

Nice to have

• Python, Apache NiFi, Kafka, REST APIs, WebSockets, Bash, GitLab, Pytest, Swagger, and Playwright experience.
• DevSecOps, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker or Podman, and AWS experience.
• Experience with Agile Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, software integration, UML, Cameo, DOORS, Artifactory, and technical presentations.
