TL;DR
Mid-Level DevSecOps Engineer (Kubernetes/Cloud): Designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) with an accent on containerization and cloud infrastructure. Focus on migrating systems to the cloud using Infrastructure as Code, ensuring DoD compliance through container hardening, and managing scalable IaaS/PaaS architectures.
Location: On-site in Colorado Springs, CO or Huntsville, AL. Remote/Telework is not available.
Salary: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

What you will do
- Design, implement, and maintain complex systems that integrate with Government Customer infrastructure.
- Oversee cloud migration and system maintenance leveraging Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, HELM, Ansible, Bash).
- Implement container hardening to ensure adherence to DoD and MDA compliance standards.
- Develop scalable architecture to support applications on IaaS and PaaS platforms, including AKS, ECS, and OpenShift.
- Deploy and maintain cloud application databases such as PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL.
- Collaborate with software developers and network engineers to ensure seamless system integration.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+).
- Minimum 12 years of general full-time work experience.
- 6+ years of experience in system integration with a focus on DevSecOps practices or Kubernetes.
- 1+ years of experience in a management or leadership role.
- Proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift, and experience with Coder Platform.
