What you will do
- Edit engaging short-form video clips from long-form podcasts and live programming for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and X.
- Optimize edits for audience retention using strong hooks, tight pacing, and compelling storytelling.
- Format content natively for each platform, ensuring correct aspect ratios and mobile-first viewing experiences.
- Create polished videos with captions, subtitles, on-screen text, and light motion graphics.
- Collaborate with Social Media Managers on clip selection, titles, and thumbnails to meet publishing goals.
- Monitor content performance and apply audience insights to improve future edits.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience, preferably in short-form social content.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a focus on hooks, pacing, and audience retention.
- Deep understanding of best practices across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and X.
- Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in or able to work onsite in Nashville, TN.
Nice to have
- Experience with Adobe After Effects.
- Background editing for creator-led, talent-driven, or digital media brands.
- Working knowledge of social media analytics, including watch time and click-through rates.
