Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; the primary location is Greenwood Village, Colorado. Reliable high-speed wired internet and a suitable home workspace are required.

Salary: $105,700–$149,275 base salary, plus eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Manage preparation and review of quarterly and annual NAIC statutory reports, supplements, audited financial statements, and VSA accounting.
• Oversee investment presentation in financial statements and support analysis of business results.
• Design, implement, and maintain controls for accounting and financial reporting processes.
• Research accounting pronouncements and recommend changes to disclosures, reports, systems, and information presentation.
• Lead process improvements, system enhancements, and new accounting or reporting initiatives.
• Oversee investment audits and explain accounting positions to auditors and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 7 years of financial reporting experience, including public accounting or investment-related reporting.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. Statutory NAIC and/or U.S. GAAP accounting principles.
• Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills, with strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work independently and collaboratively, and manage competing priorities.
• U.S. work authorization is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• CPA license.
• Three to five years of supervisory experience.
• Previous investment experience.
• Experience with Alteryx and Wings annual statement software.
