Software Programmer (Appian)

Salary: $140,000–$150,000 annually.

What you will do

• Design, configure, and implement Appian applications, rulesets, process workflows, plugins, and prototypes.
• Translate customer and business requirements into technical designs, solution architecture, and Appian configurations.
• Define architecture across multiple views and support enterprise application integration, SOA, ESB, and n-tier systems.
• Document workflows, architecture diagrams, interfaces, technical solutions, and development standards.
• Collaborate with customers, business analysts, stakeholders, and technical teams throughout large, multi-year programs.
• Apply development, testing, performance, scaling, and configuration management practices across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of experience or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of recent hands-on Appian development experience, including Appian plugin development.
• At least 3 years of experience with architecture definition, business architecture, process modeling, systems integration, and large-scale software development.
• Experience configuring, debugging, installing, and integrating application servers such as JBoss, WebLogic, IIS, or Tomcat.
• Strong analytical, technical, communication, facilitation, negotiation, and requirements-gathering skills.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Suitability/Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Federal government software development experience.
• Certified Level 3 Appian Developer certification.
• Experience with Appian Sites, Agile frameworks, workflow orchestration, Java, .NET, IBM WebSphere, Mule, LAMP/JBoss, or Hadoop.
