What you will do

• Migrate KDB+ data and dependencies to a new Snowflake-based data platform.
• Support and develop a multi-terabyte inventory and position data platform for the Delta1 Structured Products business.
• Design data models, access controls, data management processes, and cloud-based data distribution solutions.
• Optimize database performance, conduct testing, perform version upgrades, and maintain existing KDB+ technology.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and contribute to architectural decisions for a greenfield migration effort.
• Work in an Agile environment while maintaining platform quality, reliability, and resiliency.

Requirements

• Intermediate-level development and performance optimization experience with major RDBMS technologies.
• Python scripting skills and knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Ability to work onsite in New York three days per week.

Nice to have

• Data modeling and ETL experience.
• Experience with Snowflake or other cloud data platforms.
• Exposure to KDB+/q or willingness to learn it.
• Knowledge of financial data domains such as inventory, securities lending and borrowing, prime brokerage, or position data.
• Experience with Agile practices.
