Senior Software Engineer (Autonomous Systems)

Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack/Autonomous Systems): Developing and integrating fleet and edge management interfaces for unmanned systems in distributed and disconnected environments with an accent on real-time data visualization and operational control surfaces. Location: Remote (USA). Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.

Salary: $148,750 - $201,250 USD

What you will do

• Build and deliver interfaces for managing individual assets and large fleets of autonomous and unmanned systems.
• Design and implement data-rich UIs that reflect real-time distributed system state.
• Develop workflows for deploying, updating, and monitoring systems across edge, remote, and disconnected environments.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, platform services, and communications technologies.
• Collaborate with UX and platform teams to translate complex system behavior into intuitive operational workflows.
• Evaluate technical solutions for unmanned systems operating in bandwidth-constrained environments.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in frontend or full-stack software development.
• Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (Svelte or React preferred; Angular acceptable).
• Experience building data-intensive or state-heavy applications and implementing testing strategies.
• Strong understanding of API design and integration (REST, GraphQL).
• U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance.
• Availability for travel 4-12 times per year.

Nice to have

• Experience with RF communications, tactical radios, or mesh networks.
• Experience integrating software aboard autonomous or unmanned systems.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, containers, distributed systems, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience working with Special Operations or other Department of Defense mission customers.
