Payroll Specialist

TL;DR

Payroll Specialist (Finance): Deliver input services for defined country payrolls with an accent on timely and accurate processing and SOX compliance. Focus on payroll data preparation, reconciliation of timekeeping records, and managing third-party payroll partners.

Location: Hybrid in Guadalajara/Zapopan, Mexico

What you will do

• Prepare payroll data for third-party partners and ensure strict adherence to SOX controls and local regulations.
• Manage daily payroll operations, including data entry, corrections, uploads, and reversals.
• Analyze and reconcile time/payroll data and execute off-cycle or retroactive salary payments.
• Develop financial and operational reports and create accounting documentation for GL posting.
• Resolve employee and manager queries within defined SLAs while maintaining confidentiality.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing payroll for countries other than Mexico (specifically Colombia and/or Brazil).
• Experience working with payroll stakeholders such as ADP or Manpower.
• Proficient level of English.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Nice to have

• Experience in LATAM payroll.
• Experience using Workday.
