Salary: $166,000–$195,000 CAD base pay, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services powering Robinhood Wallet.
• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements for cryptocurrency and tokenized-stock trading.
• Improve system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate with client engineers, product managers, designers, security professionals, and external node providers.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards through design reviews, architecture discussions, and hands-on leadership.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Backend development expertise in Go, Python, or Java.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-native architectures, system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Ability to simplify complex problems, make sound trade-offs, and align product, engineering, and design stakeholders.
• Track record of delivering high-quality end-to-end products and improving team-wide technical standards.

Nice to have

• Experience with DeFi protocols, cryptocurrency wallets, or blockchain-related companies.
• Familiarity with EVM blockchains and smart contracts.
