Salary: $153,000 - $213,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Own and deliver quarterly goals, leading engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended infrastructure problems.
• Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics to define technical constraints and risk trade-offs.
• Proactively identify and solve project, process, or technology issues to improve system efficiency.
• Manage operations and availability via metrics monitoring and on-call support for critical artifacts.
• Establish and improve code review and design standards to foster a culture of quality and ownership.
• Mentor and develop talent within the team through consistent guidance and feedback.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in backend systems using Python or Kotlin.
• Proven track record with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with workflow orchestration frameworks such as Airflow, Flyte, Prefect, Temporal, or Luigi.
• Knowledge of scaling frameworks like Spark or Flink for large-scale datasets on Kubernetes.
• Ability to create elegant, simple, and extensible technical designs for significant system components.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with a global engineering team.
