Head of Procurement - Semi Chamber Solutions Division (VSC) Edwards

Location: Hybrid role based in the UK with regular attendance required at the Burgess Hill site

What you will do

• Define and execute divisional procurement strategies aligned with business growth, profitability, customer service objectives, and the VSC 2030 vision.
• Lead category management, supplier segmentation, strategic supplier partnerships, global sourcing, and major commercial negotiations.
• Own procurement savings and value creation initiatives, including purchase price variance improvements, should-cost modelling, benchmarking, and total cost of ownership reductions.
• Strengthen supplier quality, delivery, capacity, continuity, dual sourcing, and risk mitigation practices.
• Drive procurement governance, standardisation, analytics, digitalisation, reporting, and continuous improvement across supply chain transformation programmes.
• Lead, coach, and develop the procurement organisation while building succession pipelines and collaboration with planning, operations, engineering, and finance.

Requirements

• Degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Significant procurement leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
• Proven success in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier negotiations, and commercial performance improvement.
• Experience leading procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leadership experience in global or multinational organisations.
• Ability to regularly attend the Burgess Hill site in the UK is required.

Nice to have

• CIPS or equivalent professional qualification.
• Experience in semiconductor, vacuum technology, industrial equipment, or engineered products.
• Exposure to integrated business planning, ERP systems, digital procurement tools, and global sourcing networks.
