What you will do

• Direct multiple integrated software engineering teams to deliver enterprise-level payment transformation products.
• Establish operational objectives, strategic plans, and technical design roadmaps aligned with long-term company goals.
• Lead the architectural evolution of cloud-native environments using AWS, PostgreSQL, and Node.js.
• Oversee payment and money-movement capabilities, including processing, disbursement, ledgering, and reconciliation.
• Partner with Product, Finance, Treasury, and Compliance to translate network requirements into technical solutions.
• Manage departmental budgets, recruitment, and monitor key performance metrics like authorization rates and latency.

Requirements

• Must be based in Lehi, Utah (Hybrid).
• Minimum of 10 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years in significant leadership roles.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in payment processing, fintech, or banking technology.
• Advanced knowledge of Node.js, React, and AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, PostgreSQL).
• Deep understanding of card and ACH processing, tokenization, settlement, and financial ledgers.
• Proven experience leading teams using AI-powered development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Codex).

Nice to have

• Specialized expertise in database management for Money Movement, Credit Risk, and Fraud prevention.
• Proficiency in prompt engineering and GenAI integration with experience auditing AI outputs.
• Success leading large-scale technical transformations in heavily regulated environments.
