What you will do

• Lead the Expenses sub-domain, owning the vision, delivery, and roadmap in collaboration with local product teams.
• Evolve technical architecture across the Spend domain, focusing on data engineering, AI, and analytics.
• Scale the US engineering team, providing mentorship and establishing new squads.
• Drive operational excellence by setting OKRs and optimizing delivery processes across concurrent projects.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, and Commercial stakeholders to align execution with business strategy.
• Own the talent acquisition strategy to attract and retain top engineering talent in the San Francisco market.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, with 5+ years in engineering leadership roles (Director, EM, or equivalent).
• Proven track record in people management, including managing managers or Engineering Leads.
• Strong product thinking and ability to partner with Product Management to define roadmaps and business outcomes.
• Deep technical fluency in software architecture and system design for large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
• Must be based in San Francisco, US.
