What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate transactional microservices supporting metering, subscriptions, invoicing, and financial workflows.
• Drive initiatives from initial requirements and technical design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
• Build fault-tolerant systems that safely handle retries, concurrency, and high transaction volumes.
• Monitor production services and improve observability to resolve the root causes of recurring incidents.
• Participate in architecture reviews and help establish engineering standards across the billing platform.
• Collaborate with Product, Finance, and Accounting teams to translate complex business needs into maintainable solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building and operating distributed systems or backend services in production.
• Proficiency in Go or another modern programming language.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, SQL, and relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience designing secure, highly available microservices in Linux or Unix environments.
• Must be authorized to receive software/technology controlled under U.S. export control laws without sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with billing systems, payment processing, financial ledgers, or revenue recognition.
• Knowledge of Redis, Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker, or Temporal.
• Familiarity with reconciliation, idempotency, and financial data integrity.
• Experience leading technically complex projects across multiple teams.
