Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: New York City, NY, with a hybrid schedule requiring three days per week in the office. Singapore-based employees work on-site five days per week.

Annual base salary: $155,000–$210,000 in New York. Compensation outside New York follows the applicable market and location-based range. Equity, commission where applicable, and benefits are excluded.

hirify.global is building an AI-powered infrastructure layer for global commerce that combines payments, AI, stablecoins, compliance, risk management, fraud prevention, chargebacks, reconciliation, and customer support.

What you will do

• Build and scale core payment systems with a focus on reliability, security, and performance.
• Deliver customer-facing experiences using React and modern serverless infrastructure.
• Own features end to end, from technical design and architecture through launch and iteration.
• Influence product and technology decisions by bringing an engineering perspective to complex payments challenges.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Operations, and Engineering to create simple, scalable solutions.
• Improve engineering practices and help scale systems as the company grows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in fintech, payments, or a fast-paced startup.
• Strong experience with modern frontend development, including React or similar technologies.
• Experience owning and delivering complex features and systems, with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Deep understanding of scalable, reliable systems and exposure to cloud-based or serverless infrastructure.
• Strong product mindset, communication skills, collaboration abilities, and ownership in a fast-moving environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with cryptocurrency or blockchain.
