Associate Observability Architect (Observability): Designing and guiding complex observability implementations for Grafana customers across modern infrastructure and application environments with an accent on architecture, Kubernetes, customer adoption, and long-term technical success. Focus on solving difficult production issues, shaping technical roadmaps, conducting root cause analysis, and translating product usage into measurable business value.

Location: Remote within the United States, with candidates located on the West Coast preferred; PST alignment is indicated. Travel of up to 25% may be required.

Salary: $139,000–$167,000 USD OTE, plus RSUs.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for a portfolio of Grafana customers and own their technical lifecycle.
• Design customer observability maturity journeys, technical roadmaps, onboarding plans, and adoption strategies.
• Provide expert troubleshooting, workarounds, health checks, technical reviews, and root cause analysis.
• Advise customers on observability best practices, product usage, cost optimization, ROI, and new feature adoption.
• Deliver training sessions, workshops, technical documentation, guides, tutorials, and customer reports.
• Represent customer needs internally and collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Engagement Managers, Onboarding Solutions Architects, and account teams.

Requirements

• Must be located in the United States; West Coast location and PST alignment are preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in technical support, technical account management, consulting, sales engineering, or professional services in the technology industry.
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes and practical expertise in observability solutions.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customers and projects, provide timely technical solutions, and travel up to 25% as needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, open-source technologies, or the observability industry.
• 2+ years of technical sales, technical account management, or other post-sales technical experience.
• Experience connecting product usage to ROI and managing customer adoption challenges.
• Previous engineering experience or training through a coding bootcamp.
