Salary: $154,000–$243,600 CAD base salary, plus eligibility for hirify.global’s stock program and benefits.

What you will do

• Own the architecture and technical direction of the Agent Framework supporting hirify.global’s Streams platform.
• Design, evaluate, and improve scalable agent-layer architectures and distributed deployment models.
• Lead architectural discussions, write design documents and ADRs, and drive technical decisions to completion.
• Provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across the team.
• Partner with product management and stakeholders to prioritize features and adapt plans to changing priorities.
• Coordinate multi-team initiatives, identify delivery risks, and implement mitigation plans.

Requirements

• Principal-level or technical-lead experience delivering agent, daemon, or systems software at scale, including distributed deployments, versioning, and backward compatibility.
• Deep knowledge of observability data collection, including metrics, logs, traces, OTLP, Prometheus Remote Write, and syslog.
• Strong Go experience; hirify.global Agent and Beats are primarily written in Go.
• Experience designing management and control planes for distributed software, particularly protocol-driven systems such as OpAMP.
• Experience leading large, multi-team technical initiatives from ambiguous design through shipped software.
• Excellent written communication and experience producing trusted design documents and ADRs.

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global Agent, Fleet, Beats, or OpenTelemetry Collector internals.
• Experience with OpenTelemetry Collector configuration, OTLP transport, or upstream contributions.
• Cross-platform testing and developer productivity experience across Linux, Windows, macOS, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of pipeline execution models and processing languages such as Streamlang, Logstash, or Fluent.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform, or contributions to observability and agent open-source projects.
