Salary: $143,700–$194,400 USD annually, plus sign-on payments and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Define, design, and implement multi-tier distributed services and customer experiences for Prime Video live events.
• Build automation capabilities for controlling the lifecycle of sports, news, and concert events.
• Design, implement, and test major features using scalable AWS cloud technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure responsive, reliable, and maintainable software.
• Plan engineering work and roll out changes meeting performance, scalability, reliability, and functionality requirements.
• Collaborate with multiple Prime Video and hirify.global teams on backend and frontend development.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
• Experience with object-oriented design and at least one software programming language.
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas, United States.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience across the full software development life cycle.
• Working experience with Rust.
• Experience with coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Experience with machine learning, computer vision, or large-scale customer-facing products.
