Cat 3 Plant Inspector

Location: Onsite in Norwich, Norfolk, United Kingdom, at Bacton Gas Terminal. Monday to Friday.

What you will do

• Inspect major, intermediate, and minor pressure systems, including steam systems, in line with customer quality systems, WSE, and applicable procedures.
• Prepare accurate, timely inspection reports and cross-reference them with NDT reports where applicable.
• Support short- and long-term inspection planning, scopes of work, and Risk-Based Inspection plans using Non-Intrusive Inspection guidelines.
• Monitor temporary repairs and review completed workpacks and inspection reports.
• Liaise with technical authorities, corrosion engineers, area inspectors, and onshore inspection engineers.
• Perform NDT and rope access duties when required, manage inspection equipment, raise permits, and complete daily progress reports.

Requirements

• Engineering technician qualification recognised by the Engineering Council or equivalent, such as an appropriate ONC with relevant experience or NVQ Level III.
• PCN Level 2 Ultrasonic Testing qualification.
• Inspection and NDT experience.
• UKAS RG2 Category 3 qualification.
• CSWIP or ASME Plant Inspector qualification.
• Ability to meet applicable company- and client-specific training and safety-critical requirements.

Nice to have

• API 510 and API 570 qualifications.
• PCN Level 2 qualifications in EC, DPI, or MPI.
