Trainee Inspection Engineer

Location: Aberdeen, United Kingdom; work onshore and offshore as required, with potential to work up to two days per week from home subject to manager approval and corporate policies.

What you will do

• Perform inspection engineering activities under the supervision of senior colleagues, both onshore and offshore.
• Test, maintain, calibrate, and operate inspection equipment.
• Guide ROVs around subsea structures and carry out online inspection data recording.
• Identify anomalies under supervision and support the integrity of inspection data.
• Assist with preparing and compiling inspection documents and other required administration.
• Work closely with Inspection and ROV teams and liaise with inspection staff onshore and offshore.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in engineering, science, IT, or another relevant technical discipline.
• Ability to develop knowledge of non-destructive testing and common inspection techniques.
• Interest in applying electrical, electronic, and mechanical principles to inspection activities.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Adaptability and willingness to work onshore and offshore as required.
