Account Director (FMCG)

Account Director (FMCG): Leading client relationships and operational/commercial management for a major FMCG account with an accent on financial performance and delivery excellence. Focus on driving AI adoption across workflows and managing a multidisciplinary team to ensure high creative and strategic output.

Location: Madrid, Spain (Office presence expected at minimum 3 days per week)

What you will do

• Lead day-to-day relationships with senior stakeholders of a major FMCG client, building trusted partnerships.
• Manage the financial health of the account, including gross profit, margins, and accurate forecasting.
• Oversee project run rates and client satisfaction via weekly WIP meetings.
• Line manage and support a team of 5 people, focusing on professional development and wellbeing.
• Identify and develop commercial growth opportunities within existing client relationships.
• Drive the adoption of Gen AI tools across the account in line with the company's AI strategy.

Requirements

• Track record of building strong client partnerships, ideally within an embedded or in-house agency model.
• Experience managing account-level budgets, cost forecasting, and gross profit reporting.
• Demonstrated experience in line managing and developing team members.
• Proficiency in both English and Spanish is required.
• Experience working with large retail or FMCG brands across creative, digital, POS, and social channels.
• Must be based in Madrid, Spain.
